Site context

The Ragavendra Pipeline road serves as the primary access road for residents of middle- and low-income households. It acts as the first and last-mile connection to the Yeshwanthpur metro station. In addition, Garment workers crossing from the east side of Yashwantpur to the west side across the railway line use the road to walk to work. So do children walking to schools nearby.

Issues

Priority Interventions

  1. Complete footpath development with one side parking for a 250m stretch between Tumkur Road and the junction marked by the railway depot entrance.

  2. Development of a 400m long and 7m wide pipeline buffer space to create footpaths and a linear parkway with play and social spaces.

  3. Removal of encroachments on the footpath and pipeline buffer area (sheds, tea stalls, truck parking).
