Site context

The Junction is located at the intersection of Nada Prabhu Kempe Gowda Main Road and Outer Ring Road, a major thoroughfare for city traffic. The junction is also used by a significant number of pedestrians who come from Manyata Tech Park via Nada Prabhu Kempe Gowda Main Road.  Recent metro construction has reduced vehicular capacity on the Outer Ring Road, causing severe traffic congestion at this junction and making crossing more challenging for pedestrians.

Extremely unsafe junction kerb and no safe pedestrian crossings

Priority Interventions

  1. Addition of pedestrian safety infrastructure - crossing, pedestrian signals, refuge island, etc.

  2. Complete redevelopment of the footpaths up too 50m in each directio,d kerb edge,s andthe  addition ofstreetlightss.

  3. Removal of all obstructions and encroachments on the footpaths.
