Serving as a primary high-density shopping and market street, it acts as a vital economic lifeline for the local community, currently characterised by intense vehicular-pedestrian conflict and significant untapped potential for organised public commerce.
Issues
Inadequate walking infrastructure forces shoppers into the active carriageway, creating hazardous conditions amidst high-volume traffic.
Absence of structured vending zones and designated parking leads to chaotic street management, obstructing both transit flow and storefront access.
Lack of waste management protocols and lighting infrastructure contributes to a sense of neglect, diminishing the street’s economic vitality and safety after dark.
