Priority Interventions
This project involves the complete redevelopment of the footpaths along Byrasandra Lake Road, featuring new 1-meter-high fencing and street lighting to create a scenic Lake-View Walkway.
The carriageway to be streamlined, utilising residual areas for new social and seating spaces.
Safety is prioritised through the removal of overgrown vegetation, while hygiene is addressed by installing a public toilet and a dedicated waste collection point.
Site context
The site is the 400m access road to Krishnappa Garden along Byrasandra Melina Kere, which marks the front entrance of Bagmane Tech Park.
Issues
The Byrasandra Lake Road has no usable footpath. The lakeside footpath is 2 feet wide and is completely broken with overgrown weeds. The tech park side footpath is blocked by parked cabs. The lake fence is broken in several places, and the edge has several garbage black spots.
