Importance of the site
This is an important triangular space at the junction and a transition space from the busy high traffic road to the neighbourhood road. The change in the levels, the buffer nature of the space are the intrinsic characteristics of the space. The strategic location makes it an important leftover space to develop.
Proposed idea / vision:
The strategic location gives an opportunity to reinforce the identity of the place. Also this space can translate as a refuge island for pedestrians moving along the stretch since the high traffic street lacks pedestrian infrastructure. The treatment of this space can also respond to some street vending, kiosks considering the way the junction is attracting commercial activities.
