Unsafe, Garbage dumping, Accident prone, Encroachments, No maintenance / dirty, 27th cross road: Gas cylinder trucks parked, no streetlights beyond Bandepalya police station, missing footpaths and crossings for public and school students to reach govt. School, garbage dumping. Feels very unsafe for women. Indira Canteen road: Mechanical shops and butcher shop are on either side. Extremely dusty, dark, repeated pothole and flood prone stretch.
Importance of the site
The Indira canteen road is the only shortest way to reach to 27th Cross Road from Mangamannapalya main road, which has many residential neighborhoods. And through the 27th cross road people can access various shops/restaurants and most importantly the HSR BDA complex bus stop. Such an important access feels extremely unsafe for the community to walk by.
Proposed idea / vision:
Construction of footpaths that are even, unobstructed and well drained. Road carriage cross slopes such that potholes don't occur repeatedly. Well lit and green walkable street, that are not encroached by heavy trucks, two wheelers, poultry cages, free of garbage dumping, dust and steep ramp access to private properties.
