Importance of the site
There are no Play areas for youngsters in a radius of 3 kms. The proposed road developed by BDA does not even have a name and is nested between BWSSB and BESCOM stations. It is an abandoned area and is a perfect hotspot for illegal activities, all kinds of nuisance & a easy debris dumping ground & garbage which NERWA gets cleaned from time to time. It is most beneficial for youngsters if this could be converted into a play area with Solar powered flood light courts and seating on the sides for various games like, Basket Ball, Throw Ball, Mini Foot Ball Court and Net Cricket. Since the local Resident's Office NERWA is right there, it could be easily managed by the Association once developed.
Proposed idea / vision:
Most CA sites allocated by BDA are now encroached are taken over by private entities depriving youngsters and children from Play Grounds which is very important for their physical and mental well being. Off the entire neighborhood of HRBR Layout, we could identify only this space left out where children could stretch out. If not developed, protected and utilized well, even this space would be encroached
