Site context
The site was empty until late 2019, when it became a transfer point. MLA Rizwan mentioned a space to shift the transfer point to a different location 3 - 4 years ago, but it has not been materialised so far.
Issues
●Waste tipping often spills onto the road, spreading garbage across the area, making it dirty and unhygienic. ●Garbage is dumped at the site and sometimes set on fire, creating hazards for vehicles below. ●Waste attracts dogs and other animals. ●Walking is also dangerous and uninviting due to high vehicle speeds, the lack of footpaths, poor lighting, garbage, and dogs.
Priority Interventions
●Shift the transfer point to a more suitable location ●Plant a mini forest to restore walkability and prevent waste or fire from reaching the road below.
