Site context
A large, 100m-wide junction where Haralur Main Road, Kudlu Road, and Silver County Road intersect, experiencing severe traffic jams from construction trucks and school buses.
Issues
Despite heavy traffic, there is no pedestrian crossing infrastructure, creating a highly unsafe environment. Footpaths leading to the junction are largely absent or discontinuous, and there are no street lights.
Priority Interventions
Develop footpaths around the junction and along the roads leading to it, with street lights, kerb ramps, etc. Add pedestrian crossing, signalisation, refuge island, signage, to create safe passage for pedestrians Streamline carriageway to provide the remaining space to the footpath kerb.
