Site context

A 950m stretch of three street segments (Indira canteen road, 27th cross road and 17th main road) in HSR Layout, connecting residential and commercial (mechanical garages, shops) areas as well as a government school with the only closest bus stop.

Issues

  • Footpaths are absent, encroached, or broken, forcing pedestrians into heavy traffic with trucks. 

  • The area suffers from flooding, potholes, and inadequate street lighting. 

  • Auto-repair shops spill onto footpaths, and old vehicles are dumped near the school.
