Priority Interventions

  • Reclaim the path as a pedestrian-only street and create sports, play and social spaces since the neighbourhood has no activity areas for children and youth.

  • Repave the street to support sports and install seating spaces and street lights.

  • Demarcate zones for badminton, basketball, etc

  • Create a garbage collection point

Site context

The site is a recently tarred, 100m-long, unnamed path near 9th Main Road in HRBR Layout. The path is lined by the rear of the BWSSB and KPTCL offices.

It also houses the NERWA (RWA) office, and a recently relocated office for AEEs. There is no activity here aside from residents using it for walks.

Issues

Waste dumping and burning is an issue in the site and with construction debris.
