This site serves as a critical junction for access to and from the HSR layout via the ORR. The junction experiences continuous, high-speed vehicular movement, with significant congestion during the morning and evening hours, including heavy vehicles.
Issues
●Pedestrians are required to cross active traffic due to the absence of signals, crossings, or safety features. ●The footpaths and kerbs are discontinuous and broken. ●Vendors and parked vehicles along the kerbs obstruct visibility for both traffic and pedestrians.
Priority Interventions
●Develop clear and accessible footpaths at all four intersections. ●Install pedestrian crossing markings, signage, and signals. ●Remove all vendors, parked vehicles, and kerb encroachments that obstruct visibility for traffic and pedestrians. ●Install street lighting.
