Priority Interventions
●Develop the pipeline area into a park with landscaping, a play area, and open gyms. ●Redesign the street section to include a service road, green park, well-defined footpaths, parking bays, and a carriageway to support future developments.
Site context
The pipeline road passes through Balaji Layout, which has over 6,000 residents. A participatory consultation on the draft design has been completed, and residents' feedback has been incorporated.
Issues
●A fence and dense weeds in the pipeline buffer form a physical and visual barrier between the east and west neighbourhoods. ●The limited and narrow break points in the pipeline area often create blind spots for both vehicles and pedestrians. ●The pipeline area has been converted into parks in neighbourhoods to the north and south, but not in Balaji Layout.
