The site has 15 segments of conservancy lanes, totalling 1860m. The conservancy lanes are largely gated with overgrown weeds; a few are currently used by pedestrians to pass through and for vehicular parking.
Issues
Streets in the neighbourhood have become increasingly unsafe due to high-volume, fast-moving traffic throughout the day. Richards Park sees heavy crowding during peak hours, and there are no other play spaces for children and adults.
Priority Interventions
A few conservancy lanes, such as those along John Armstrong Road, can be developed to pilot a joggers' track, introduce children's play spaces, community gardens, and other social and recreational activities.
