Activating Hennur Flyover Green Space
Site context
The site comprises approximately 500 metres of the under-flyover space along Hennur Road. Part of the flyover in this area has been developed as a park with exercise equipment and landscaping. However, the site itself is fenced and barren. Positive aspects include no garbage, ample sunlight and availability of irrigation facilities, that can be utilised for urban greening and beautification.

Priority Interventions
●Greening and Art: Develop a layered garden using shade-tolerant, air-purifying plants in raised planters and vertical walls. Integrate pebble paths, murals, and recycled art to foster community pride and visual coherence. ●Accessibility: Increase permeability by adding frequent access gates and safe pedestrian crossings to connect the space with surrounding roads. ●Space Management: Implement structured parking zones to eliminate unauthorised vehicle dumping, ensuring the reclaimed area remains dedicated to public use and ecological health.
