Priority Interventions

This proposal focuses on structural and social equity through five key interventions.

  • It establishes wide, continuous tree-lined footpaths.

  • Regulate parking for diverse vehicle types (two-wheelers, cabs, vans, tractors) in collaboration with local office complexes.

  •  Hygiene is addressed through a purpose-designed waste transfer point.

  • Kadubeesanahalli park edge is transformed into a Rest Zone featuring public toilets, seating, and vending spaces for gig workers.

  • Critical junction improvements at the intersection of  1. Horizon College Road x Doddakanelli-Kadubeesanahalli Road  and   2.New Horizon Road x Outer Ring road  will streamline traffic and enhance safety for all users.

Site context

A 1 km stretch of CDP Road and New Horizon College Road, serving large office parks like Embassy Tech Village and New Horizon College. Lakhs of employees and students use the road.

Issues

Footpaths are narrow, broken, and littered with garbage. A waste transfer point creates an unhygienic environment. Vans and cabs block footpaths. The lack of public toilets and rest areas for drivers leads to misuse of public parks.
