Site context
A 100-metre buffer zone beneath a high-tension line adjacent to Poornapragna Park has been developed into a park. However, a 200-metre stretch south of the park, across 29th Main Road, remains barricaded and inactive, creating a physical and visual barrier within the neighbourhood. Integrating these green spaces into a continuous and safe corridor can significantly enhance neighbourhood vitality.
Issues
The deserted and impermeable buffer stretch feels unsafe, especially after dark.
Heavy BMTC bus traffic from the adjacent depot and the absence of pedestrian paths make movement difficult.
