Importance of the site
As citizens we have spent last 6 years trying to keep it clean with night vigils, BBMP drives , marshals and penalty etc. But not worked. Children, senior citizens and many pedestrians have fallen and undergone surgeries, Accidents have happened as this is also BMTC route and heavy traffic as also school zone. New vendors without license are encroaching the open space.
With a large gated community around, a govt school, other office goers college students, labourers.as also being road to access daily need shops there must be provision for safe, clean up pedestrian way. Right of citizens for adequate access to necessities, safety & cleanliness for pedestrians & all citizens.
Proposed idea / vision:
Very simple - Just make a good footpath / pavement from Devegowda-Dinnur rd junction towards BBMP school/ Ganesha Temple Dinnur road both sides. Smoothen the edgy roads with tarring, provide good lighting (especially near SWD area - to avoid urination/ dumping etc). Some beautifying elements. And a cattle guard on the road stretch just outside our gated community stretch
( architectural plan has submitted during DCM DKS Janaspandana meet in Jan 2025 & many representations before that to Nodal officer, BBMP commissioner, ZC). We have also worked with Sensing Local for entire ward walkability improvement in our area. That report also was made available to BBMP. We hope all this can be implemented.
