This overbridge provides a pedestrian friendly route and a short cut: community members, especially women, have said that they currently feel uncomfortable taking the route due to the fact that it is often deserted, or there has been some anti-social behaviour that has made them unsafe. To revitalise this place would create less traffic as people would be far more likely to take the short cut across, and it would also provide more business for the small vendors on the other side of the overbridge.
