Importance of the site

Main approach to Banashankari Metro station. The narrow road has fast moving cars and the pedestrian side is taken over by vegetable vendors, making it extremely unsafe for people to walk.

Proposed idea / vision:

There is a large plot of old quarry land (marked in yellow) which is lying empty and a hotbed of anti-social elements. Relocate the temporary Vegetable vendors to this place for a safer market. And redevelop the footpath into one contiguous walking path from 45th cross till the metro station for easier use of public transport.
