Importance of the site

This space is adjoining several residential areas (Artillery Road, Deenabandunagar and Someshwarapura) where there are flats, airforce quarters, schools and slums. Many people pass it on their morning walks, on the way to the nearby Command hospital, bus stops on aiport road, and to/from school and work. The space has many trees but is presently permanently locked and currently neglected and in disrepair. It could be made into a pleasant rest stop for all of these groups.

Proposed idea / vision:

I imagine this as a pleasant place where people from different walks could rest & enjoy the greenery around on their way to their destinations, or on their walks. For this the place should be cleaned, some ornamental plants added, pavement around it repared, benches and dustbins provided, and the space kep open during the day. The space would also require regular maintenance. With a little further effort the place could also accomodate small community events like workshops, clubs and readings and possibly even a small wet composting, community gardening patch.
